Your Place Of Peace

Your Place Of Peace

Did you know you don’t have to wait for a change in your circumstances to know the peace of God?

Your lifetime of inner peace was meant to begin when you received His saving work on the cross and asked Him to forgive your sins. He purchased your peace at Calvary!

The Bible says you can experience peace with God because you’ve been “justified by faith” (Romans 5:1). Because of what Jesus did on the cross for you, you can live in the reality of His supernatural peace, which occurs regardless of circumstances and is beyond our understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Maybe you find this puzzling. “I got saved years ago, and I know my sins are forgiven,” you protest. “But I’m still stressed out all the time. What am I doing wrong?”

Here’s the critical truth of it all, and you need to hear this with both your ears and heart: In order to experience the fullness of God’s peace, you have to discover the secret place of intimacy with Him. You need to rest in the holy presence of our Lord and Savior so you can uncover the beauty and splendor of his joy and love.

In Psalm 91, the psalmist describes this amazing place and some of the benefits you’ll find when you learn to abide there: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust’” (vs. 1-2).

Amid the storms of life, God wants to be your place of safety – your refuge and fortress. But this doesn’t happen automatically. You must make it your lifestyle to draw near to Him each day.
