Persistent Prayer

When you need guidance in your life, just ask God.

He will give you wisdom when you ask. All you need to do is believe!

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that anyone who comes to God must believe that He is God and that He will reward those who diligently seek Him. If you have a need in your life – whether in your family, your finances, or your health – present it to God. Because we can trust the Lord, there’s no need to worry about anything.

Faith-filled prayers are persistent prayers, and the Bible promises that God will reward our persistence. Psalm 55:17 says, “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice” (KJV). Don’t give up! We are promised, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16).

Persistent prayer is an opportunity to express an ever-deepening hunger for God and to develop confidence that He will hear our cries. Jesus encourages us, “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8).

I encourage you not to allow anything to interfere with your devotional times with God. Determine that you will come into His presence to worship Him and to pray. Decide that you want to be transformed into the image of His Son, your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In this way, your life will be blessed as you consistently and persistently choose His ways.
