Walk in the Light

Walk in the Light

Thirteen words from a verse in the longest chapter of the Bible emphasize the guidance and clarity that comes from obeying God’s word.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Psalm 119:105.

In ancient times, lamps were used for navigating a dark and dangerous path. This Psalm confirms that God’s word serves as a guiding light for our earthly journey. It illuminates the path ahead, making it clear to walk in safety.

Not only does God’s word provide His light in the moment, but it also shines on each step throughout. This light provides direction, clarity, and insight into our choices and decisions.

Psalm 119:105 also confirms the importance of leaning into and relying on God’s word. It is our only source of wisdom and ensures we are walking in alignment with His will.

Just as a lamp defeats darkness, lighting the path ahead, scripture brings clarity and guidance to those who seek it.

Lean in to seek and follow God’s word:

READ your Bible daily
PRAY for understanding
MEDITATE on God’s word
APPLY scripture when making decisions
ASK for guidance from trusted sources
GATHER insight and perspective
LISTEN to the Holy Spirit
APPLY principles and teaching

Find truth, guidance, and hope in God’s word. Thank you, Lord, and Amen.
