Be Still

Be Still

When you hear the command, “Be Still,” what does that mean to you? How long has it been since you sat in silence? How long has it been since you took inventory of your soul? What emotions are you feeling today? Are you controlled by fear, anxiety, frustration? What is the root cause?

Have you thought to stop and be still? Sometimes, when we stop, we give God a chance to speak. We have time to reflect, regroup, to quiet the mind’s chatter, to bring to memory a promise of peace and hope from God’s Word, and to remind ourselves who is in control!

Be still, and give your burdens to the One who makes all things work for our good, to the called, according to HIS purpose (Romans 8:28).

Be still and KNOW He is God! He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He can and will take care of you. “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10).
