Qualified: Having the ability, qualities, and attributes necessary to perform a particular job.
Did you realize just how qualified you are for the “good works that God prepared beforehand for you to walk in?” (Eph 2:10)
Colossians 1:11-14 “…being strengthened with all power according to HIS GLORIOUS MIGHT so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has QUALIFIED you to share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light. For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
Jesus paid it all, Jesus did it all, “we have everything we need for life and Godliness, through our [experiential] knowledge of Him who called us by HIS OWN GLORY and goodness.” (2 Peter1:3)
Reading Colossians 1 was a Kiros moment for me. The word “qualified” jumped out at me and gripped my soul with possibility and belief in who I am. If I were to list my “I ams,” it would be a list of “I am nots.”
I believe I am not alone in this. The enemy works hard at blinding us to the truth of who we are, keeping us focused on the false identity of “I am not”- NOT good enough. Yet when God created man, He said “It was very good.”
What makes a believer an incredibly powerful force is a strong understanding of their identity in Christ. Their sense of who they are comes from the great I Am. It is in Him we find our being.
Part of the work of the body is to remind each other of just how qualified we really are.
