Problems with Pronouns

Ever notice how much confusion there is about pronouns in our culture?

The following are some glorious promises from The Great I Am. I’m grateful our Lord is the I and we are the YOU. Not confusing at all.

I will never leave or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5)
I have loved you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)
I have come that you might have life, more abundantly (John 10:10)
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved (John 10:9)
I have overcome the world (John 16:33)
I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end (Revelation 22:13)
For I, the Lord, do not change (Malachi 3:6)
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6)
I am with you always (Matthew 28:20)
I am making all things new (Revelation 21:4)
I knew you in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5)

Here’s even more encouragement to US (another sweet pronoun):

YOU I have redeemed. YOU are mine (Isaiah 43:1)
YOU are no longer slaves, but sons (Galatians 4:7)
YOU are the called to belong to Jesus Christ (Romans 1:6)
YOU are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)
YOU are never alone (Joshua 1:9)
YOU belong to Christ and Christ belongs to God (I Corinthians 3:23)
YOU are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14)
Let the word of Christ dwell in YOU richly (Colossians 3:16)
YOU must be born again (John 3:17)
YOU are not your own, YOU were bought with a great price (I Corinthians 6:20)
YOU are a chosen people, God’s special possession (I Peter 2:9)

YOU and I can know exactly who WE are in Jesus. HE lives in US and all HE is – is OURS. Biblical pronouns are powerful!
