Only But A Season-22

Only But A Season

When lost in sadness or crippled by fear,
one could ask “Why am I here?”

Losing a loved one in a tragic way,
could cause a person to ask, “What’s the purpose of today?”

When struggling with pain for days on end,
one could wonder, “When will it all end?”

Yes, we feel the consequences of sin;
death, tragedy, and a world that is broken.

But sin and its consequences will never conquer our soul,
and though it may not feel like it, God is still in control.

Remember these things as you face rejection,
That in this earth, you were created to be God’s reflection.

He chose you to be His heralder, ambassador, and beloved friend.
His Holy Spirit will comfort and stand with you until the end.

This is your opportunity to glorify God with every breath,
to persevere through sin’s pain, and love not your life unto death.

The sting of sin in this life will only last but a season.
Keep your eyes on Him who loves us beyond all reason.

Eternal life with our King is how the story will end.
Give glory to God, be encouraged, and follow the Holy Spirit until then.
