“JOY CRYING”. It’s a term my nine-year-old grandson, Christian, used this morning. I was standing in front of the kitchen bay window, crying. He heard me and came in asking, “Why are you crying?” I answered, “Oh, there’s nothing wrong. I’ve been thinking a lot about Jesus lately. I’ve been thinking about how grateful I am that He loved us and died on the cross so that none of us ever have to go to Hell. We can all go to Heaven with Him. I’m not crying because I’m sad. I’m crying because I’m so thankful for what He did for us.”
Christian wrapped his arms around me, looked up into my face and said, “You’re joy crying.” I smiled and said, “That’s exactly what I’m doing!” “JOY CRYING!” My sin is so wretched and Jesus is so perfect. He chose to die and take the wrath for my freedom. I am so mindful of His love, forgiveness, healing and restoration in my life. He has been so good to me. Try a little “joy crying”. It’s good for the soul.
