Hebrews 13:7-8 (ESV) – “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Wow! What a directive to believers! What a challenge to those who lead! What a call to live as an example! It is a call to be consistent – to be who you are in Christ all the time. It is so refreshing to be around people who are the same person on Tuesday that they were on Sunday. How disappointing it is to be around people who are flaky and inconsistent. Those traits lead to labels such as “chameleon” or “hypocrite”. People who are inconsistent end up sabotaging themselves and they nullify their testimony.
Do not fool yourself. You reflect what is inside of you and who you are every day. So, make the reflection of Jesus clear! All the time! For His glory!
