An Action and His Promise

An Action and His Promise

Chronicles 7:14:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins, and heal their land.”

This scripture has been on my heart for a long time, but it is especially pertinent now. It is a call to action and a promise all in one.

The call to action is to humble ourselves, first and foremost, before we even begin to pray. We must come to Him not as the Pharisee who said “I thank you God, that I am not as other men are (the liberals, the conservatives, my drinking neighbor, my gay coworker, the atheist, that person in my congregation….) We must say,  “God, be merciful, to me a sinner” Luke 18:11-13. Then, with a clean heart, we can seek His face.  We can turn and repent from our wickedness.

The promise is that He (God) will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land.

There are prophetic words going around about this virus bringing people to repentance and revival and it’s happening on a global scale. Of course, this is the heart and will of God but it must begin in the house of God (1Peter 4:17).

What if all over the world the body of Christ sought after God with a sense of fear and trembling because they truly recognized him as the Holy, Holy, Holy God that He is?

Let’s start a tidal wave of revival in our own hearts that will go viral! We as believers each carry the hope of the world within us, the cure for a sin sick world. If we do our part, He is faithful and true and will do what He has promised!
