Love in Motion: Experiencing God Through Obedient Hearts

Love is something that I know about first hand because I’ve been attending Christ Fellowship for a while now. It’s impossible not to see love in motion here.

Many of you are aware of the life struggles my husband Todd and I have recently journeyed through, some of you are not. The details do not matter. We all go through wilderness walks as life journeys on. Each walk is filled with different circumstances and situations but, inevitably, the walk is marked with heartache and moments of despair. That was true of our walk but, there was something unexpected that we experienced out there in the wilderness – LOVE.  More specifically, we experienced God loving us through each of you.

There were times when we didn’t have it in us to pray one more time for the same thing – you petitioned the throne for us. There were days when we wondered if there was an ounce of spirituality left in us and we would come to you in our weakness – you built up our spiritual muscles with words of wisdom. There was a span of time in the middle where we stopped hearing the voice of God – His truth was spoken over us with your lips. You cried with us, you comforted us; you didn’t grow weary of our struggle, and essentially you spiritually resuscitated us.

People ask us all the time why we choose to drive 40 minutes to church when there’s a church on every corner along the way. The reason is that love in motion is not on every corner. We drive because you are our family and because God is doing something here that cannot be duplicated outside of his power.

This is a church lead by obedient leadership and filled with obedient servants of God. We attend Christ Fellowship because the love we experienced can be felt by each and every person who comes in contact with you.  The Bible says that whoever loves, knows God. As a result, those who experience pure love, experience God.

I John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

Thank you for your obedience to Love!
