“Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together” Psalm 34:3
I have a mirror that is 3x magnification on one side. While it helps me put my makeup on, it is a bit unnerving to see all my flaws magnified 3X!
It occurred to me that I tend to magnify the flaws I see in myself and my current situation.
My circumstances become blown out of proportion. My own inadequacies glaring at me in my mind.
It also occurred to me that most of us are prone to falling into the same trap.
But what if we looked to Jesus instead?
Jesus, the author and perfecter of our salvation (Hebrews 12:2).
Jesus, who is our peace, hope and reconciliation (Col 1:20-22).
Let’s magnify the Lord together.
Magnifying means to make something larger than it is – an impossibility when it comes to God!
What if this is a collective call to glorify and magnify God, simply because it will take a collective effort to even begin to fathom all that His name encompasses.
If the enemy keeps us busy as individuals magnifying what he is directing our attention to we are not going to experience the joy as a body to magnify what the Lord is seeking to do in each of our lives.
So, come and let us together, as a body, magnify the Lord. Magnify His Holy Spirit dwelling within us.
Let us together, with one unified voice exalt His Holy name.
