Worship With My Life

Worship With My Life

With my life, I will worship the Lord.
Only in the Lord, Jesus, will I put my trust.
Righteousness will be my pursuit.
Salvation is only the beginning of my walk with Jesus.
Holiness is my calling and spiritual fruit is the proof.
Idolatry will not enter my life.
Praise will forever be on my lips.

I will worship the Lord!

~Dionya Kelley

Worship – extravagant respect, admiration, reverence for or devotion to an object of esteem.
Praise – to express warm approval or admiration of

Many people confuse the words “praise” and “worship”. Praising God is a part of your worship. When you praise, you express your approval, admiration, and adoration of God. However, worship is the total devotion of your very being to God.

So how do you worship God? Ask yourself these questions: Who, What, When, Where, How?

Who do you worship?
You give all honor and praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore, God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
~ Phil 2 8-11

What are you saying in your worship?
The words that come forth from your lips are that of Thanksgiving. Your words testify of the goodness of Jesus.
“Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.” ~1 Chronicles 16:23

When are you Worshiping?
You worship the Lord all day; every day!
“Therefore, let us offer, through Jesus, a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name.” ~Hebrews 13:15

Where are you worshipping?
You worship the Lord everywhere you go.
“Sing a new song to the Lord! Sing His praises from the ends of the earth!
Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands.” ~Isaiah 42:10

How are you worshipping?
“For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.”~John 4:24
Worship is a matter of the heart, sparked by a real passion for God. It is directed by truth, and not ceremony, which is why we must be properly informed through the Word of God. We must have knowledge of the God we worship in order to be able to worship Him in truth. The more we know about God, the more we appreciate Him.

Worship the Lord with your life!
