And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. ~ Hebrews 10:24

Chi Alpha (XA) is the student ministry of Christ Fellowship. Chi, or “X”, is the first letter of the Greek word for “Christ”. Alpha, or “A” is the first letter in the greek alphabet and is used to describe the first or most significant occurrence of something. In the New Testament, God declares himself to be the “the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” (Rev. 22:13 NKJV). “XA” stands for “Christ First”. This principle is at the core of who we are and what we teach. Christ must be first in our lives, in our relationships, in our decisions, in our thinking, in everything! This is what we are committed to teaching as we disciple young people for the kingdom of God.
Chi Alpha meets at different times, so keep an eye on recent events for updates on what we’re doing!
Psalm 33:3 says, “Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.” Psalm 149:3 says, “Let them praise His name in the dance.” Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all you heart, as working for the Lord, not for men….” We believe that Christians should be the most creative people on the planet! God has given us so many gifts, talents, and callings to reflect His glory! There are many different forms of worship in the Bible and we embrace them all. You may see music, dance, drama, art, photography, the written & spoken word and more as acts of worship at Christ Fellowship. All of our worship has one purpose – to bring glory to God’s name and to lead others into His presence.
KIDS FOR CHRIST
“Empowering God’s youngest warriors to be His shining light.”
At Christ Fellowship, we believe that children will be future spiritual leaders in their church and community. With that in mind, we want to partner with parents to help train their children to be Christ Followers and live every day of their lives for His glory! Every Sunday, “Kids for Christ” meets in a structured environment where they will be nurtured and led in the knowledge of Christ. We read together, study and memorize scripture, create crafts, watch videos, play games, encourage team work and learn what it means to be in relationship with Jesus Christ! It is our goal for your child to show the love of Jesus through their words and actions and we are committed to partner with you to give your child a firm foundation in God’s Word! “Kids for Christ” meets at 11:00 every Sunday. There is a toddler/preschool aged class and an elementary aged class.
Men’s Fellowship is made up of a bunch of men who are hungry for God! We are hungry for His principles to be manifest in our lives so we can be the pillars of integrity that he has called us to be to our families and to our community – godly men, husbands and fathers who lead our families by example as we obey and live out God’s Word in our lives.
We’re hungry for all of those things but we’re also just hungry. We are guys after all. We meet for an 8:00 am breakfast at Christ Fellowship the first Sunday of every month. You may also find us bowling, fishing, kayaking, shooting bows, camping, going to sports events or doing other typical “guy stuff” throughout the year.
We believe that all believers come to Christ through hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). Through sharing copies of the Word, we know that more and more people will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. This is exactly what Gideons, International does. 100% of donations go to translating and distributing Bibles worldwide. For more information, visit www.gideons.org.
Christ Fellowship heavily supports a missionary and his family of eight in India. Through their ministry school, they actively train pastors and send them out to establish churches in the second most populated country in the world (1.2 billion people) where less than 3% are Christians. We also support their orphanage, established just one month before the Tsunami hit the coast of India. The orphanage is raising children of all ages in the joy, in the love and in the grace of our Lord. Christ Fellowship loves this family and has long supported their efforts to reach all of India with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Women’s Ministries meets at various times throughout the year. We may meet at the church, at someone’s home or at a restaurant but one thing is for sure: it’s always different and it’s always refreshing and empowering! We share God’s Word, cry together, worship, laugh A LOT, eat, talk about life, pray together and love and trust one another.
There are several Women’s Bible Studies available at different times throughout the year as well as get togethers, special events, retreats and conferences.
Women’s Ministries is a safe place to be yourself – to talk about real life issues and forge friendships with women who are seeking every day to be more like Christ.
PROJECT COMFORT & JOY
Project Comfort & Joy is hand making and delivering blankets to hospitalized, critically ill children and/or their siblings and was birthed in the heart of our Pastor’s wife, Kristine, in December 2011. She and Pastor Jon know, through their experiences with their daughter’s five open heart surgeries and countless other hospitalizations, what it is like to sit at the hospital for weeks at a time with a critically ill child. It is out of those personal experiences that PROJECT COMFORT & JOY was birthed. Each blanket takes about 90 minutes to make and there is no sewing involved. Different groups from Christ Fellowship meet several times a year to make blankets and people can also take home material to make blankets on their own time. We then deliver the finished blankets to the strong and courageous kids at Levine Children’s Hospital who are fighting various illnesses. For us, Project Comfort & Joy is so much more than giving away a blanket. We believe that as we are delivering these blankets, we are gaining entrance into people’s hearts to share comfort, joy, hope and the love of Jesus Christ!
DAVID’S MIGHTY MEN
David’s Mighty Men is a group of men who have made it their pursuit to see the sick healed and the lost found. We minister through prayer and building relationships. We are obedient warriors who are seeking an outpouring of God. We have seen the sick and injured healed and have had many opportunities to minister to people who have not found acceptance in some churches. David’s Mighty Men is not like traditional evangelists and apostles, but we bring the truth of God’s word and true compassion for all.
Christ Fellowship’s Prayer Ministry is an opportunity to bring the needs of the people to the throne of God. We believe that scripture clearly encourages us to “pray earnestly” (Matthew 9:38) and “pray without ceasing” (I Thessalonians 5:17). Also, in agreement with scripture, participants in this ministry believe that there is power through Jesus to heal the sick, give hope to the hopeless, strengthen the weak and to bring peace in the midst of every situation in our lives. The prayer ministry is a unique commitment to pray for needs on a daily basis as we receive requests through personal interactions, social media and email. If you would like to learn more about prayer opportunities or would like to share a request with our prayer ministry team, please visit the Contact Us page.

For over 15 years, Uptown Worship has taken “Jesus” to the corner of Trade and Tryon Streets in Charlotte, NC. Go Bear Fruit and other area ministries and artists make the pavement of uptown a stage for God’s glory.
As we worship God with music, sound, lights, art and dance, we come in contact with people from all walks of life – college students, bar crawlers, dinner goers, the homeless, people who live uptown and tourists who are just visiting our beautiful city. People who may never step foot inside of a church get to experience the Healer, the Peacemaker, the Savior.
The corner of Trade and Tryon – it’s where we get to worship God and be the hands and feet of Jesus. In short, it’s true community through Christ. Join us at 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, March – November from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
